The Callaho name was much in evidence at the SA Adult Dressage Championships held at Kyalami Park in September 2015. Callaho horses consistently placed well in their classes, with the highlight being Callaho Fabriccio and Nichola Mohr winning the Advanced Freestyle Championship and being placed 2nd in the individual Advanced Championship. Kuda Insurance’s Callaho Rinaldo and Dawn Newman also cleaned up, winning the EM Championship and being part of the winning Western Cape Open Team. Callaho Winston and Nichola Mohr were the Reserve Champions in the EM Freestyle, and finished 3rd in the EM individual Championship. Callaho Giselle and Phillipa Johnson-Dwyer placed 1st in the FEI Grade III Individual Championships and Team test, and were 2nd in the FEI Grade III Freestyle.

In the lower grades, Callaho’s Fiona and Jaco Theron were the Reserve Champions in the Novice Championship, Callaho Lisandor and Claudia Cloete won the 4 Year old DSA Prelim 4 class, and up-and-coming stallion Lloyd and Michel Theron were placed 2nd in the 5 Year Old DSA Novice 5 class. Three Callaho-bred horses (Latifa, Lloyd and Freestyle) were part of the Northern Cape Novice Team, which finished third overall in the Novice Team event. Well done to all the horses and riders – it gives us great pleasure to see these happy partnerships, moving up the grades so successfully!
