Callaho is an established Warmblood Stud situated in the sweetveld savannas of the Kalahari. The Stud is dedicated to breeding world-class sport horses capable of excelling at International level in Showjumping, Dressage and Eventing. The foundation of our breeding endeavours is a unique band of imported European broodmares, most of whom have already produced or are immediately related to dams of Olympic, International or European Champions. The Callaho stallions are exceptional – a collection of proven sires ranked amongst the very best in the world as well as young stars who currently exhibit extraordinary potential as sport horses and breeding stallions.

Our youngsters are born and raised on the farm, where they enjoy ad-lib, balanced nutrition and plenty of low-grade exercise. During their third year, they are carefully backed and trained in accordance with classical principles. As their training under saddle progresses, they are meticulously screened for talent, temperament and constitution, and in conjunction with their radiological assessment, the final selection for our auction takes place. The Callaho Auction, held in the Autumn, is the highlight of our year.
