Con Coriano

2004 Bay Holsteiner Stallion imported from Germany

Con Coriano is a Holsteiner stallion sourced from the Neumünster Approvals in 2006. In line with our aspirations to take the Callaho jumper breeding program to a new level, correct technique and carefulness coupled to abundant scope were the overriding factors in our selection criteria. Essential to the final decision were the very finest bloodlines which Schleswig-Holstein has to offer. CC is a classic example of their successful albeit controversial line-breeding strategy which has placed this relatively small studbook on the cutting edge of jumper breeding worldwide. Cor de la Bryere appears in his pedigree twice, both G.Ramiro Z and Ladykiller xx three times each and finally, a dash of Capitol to round off the genealogy.

His sire, Contender, father of more than 165 recorded State Premium mares to date, is probably the most famous of all Holsteiner stallions with over 120 known licensed sons serving Warmblood jumper breeding in every conceivable corner of the world. No stallion before him or since has remained in the top 10 WBFSH Jumper Sire rankings for as many years as he has. Furthermore, Con Coriano’s dam derives from the revered Holstein mare lineage (703) which has also delivered countless licensed stallions and international jumpers. A German state premium mare with top scores as well as reserve champion mare of Germany in 2001, Miss Coriano is in her own right a fabulous jumper with several licensed sons and progeny successful at the top level of showjumping competition.

Under saddle Con Coriano projects impeccable rideability with electric   reactions preceding a classic, extraordinarily powerful jump. That he unfailingly passes on these qualities to his progeny is now a matter of fact. The results from his 12 years as a breeding stallion at Callaho are simply astounding – a flood of top showjumpers from a kaleidoscope of  broodmares are now streaming through the ranks up the open classes.
